Roses Blanches #208
In "Mélancolie," Isabelle, a skydiver recovering from a near-fatal accident, finds unexpected love with a hospital surgeon, Stéphane. But his older brother, André—a surgeon haunted by their father’s tragic death due to a medical error—begs her to leave Stéphane, fearing history might repeat itself. With quiet intensity, the story explores grief, trust, and the weight of the past, all rendered in the evocative lines of Francisco Mora Martínez’s cover art.

Isabelle, who participates in skydiving demonstrations with her brothers, is injured in a skydiving accident. After being discharged from the hospital, she falls in love with a surgeon she met there. But his older brother, also a surgeon at the hospital, is against his involvement with her. Years ago, their father had died due a surgeon's error after the surgeon's wife left him. André feels that Stéphane's emotional attachment to Isabelle could cause a similar mistake and wants him to wait five years before marrying. He appeals to Isabelle and asks her to leave him to save Stéphane's career.
