Catrina has a reputation of being a witch and a heartbreaker. Ken falls for her despite her occasional dark moods. As he goes off the medical school, he spends a lot of time studying with a fellow student, Fiona. When he returns to Catrina, she seems to know about Fiona and tells him to leave. But later Catrina is seriously ill and Ken goes to her. Catrina had foreseen everything, which is why she didn't allow boys to fall in love with her and tells him he will be happy with Fiona just before she dies.
