Judy helps Gerry fill out visa and work permit forms. He had always wanted to go to the States and after years of saving, he finally has enough money. Judy goes out with him despite the warnings from her friends that she will be left with a broken heart for nothing. Judy and Gerry fall in love and talk of marriage after she follows him to the States. But Judy realizes she is needed at home and will never be able to follow him.
