When Seth is trying to embrace Jenny, Willie comes in to break them up on behalf of Tom. Then next day, Jenny arrives for Mrs. Kemp's invitation to have tea and Mrs. Kemp tells her that Tom and her daughter are to be married, even though Tom hasn't proposed to Gina. Jenny understands that Mrs. Kemp really wants her out of the way before Tom comes home. She decides to leave, but Doctor Owen calls Tom and makes up a story to have him come home early.
