Romeo #23 January 1965
In "One Face in the Crowd," Sherry’s attempt to learn to drive takes a surprising turn when Taffy offers his help—only to steer her toward a quiet country road with far less on his mind than parallel parking. Guido Buzzelli’s expressive art brings the moment to life with quiet tension and subtle humor, while Norman Lee’s cover captures the story’s delicate mix of awkward charm and quiet drama.

Sherry wants to get driving lessons. Taffy offers to teach her, but she drives his car into a lamp post. Even though Sherry has seen Egbert with two other girls, she accepts his offer to teach her. But he drives her out to a nice quiet road in the country where he attempts to give her a lesson in love instead. She uses her shoe to hit him over the head, but faces a long walk home. Fortunately, she gets a lift from David. He tells her she doesn't need to learn to drive because he will drive her anywhere she wants to go.
