Bobo hides from Alec after he kisses her. Then she is spotted by a man who recognizes her from her singing in the Jeanagers Club. Bobo tells him she is a refugee from Hungary and wants to free her papa, but has no money. Veck offers her a job singing in a night club if she agrees to give him her money to help her papa, but it must remain their secret.
