Lyn was the hotel receptionist when Peter came in soaked, looking for a room. Sensing he might be in trouble, she went to his room with a cup of tea. She learned he was a pianist and songwriter, who had just been dumped by the girl he had helped get to the top. The next morning, Lyn was sacked because someone reported that she had been in his room. But after getting a job as a nursemaid, she was watching TV one night when she heard Peter dedicating a song to her.
