In the second story, a woman reflects on how her deception—telling a man named Grayson she would pay her husband's medical expenses if he helped her sell her father's store—led to tragic consequences when Grayson used the money for other purposes and she was forced to resort to violence to stop him from revealing her lies about the promised payment.
