This anthology issue contains three romantic stories. "Honeymoon Nest Becomes Henpeck House" follows a newlywed wife who feels neglected when her husband prioritizes bowling and socializing with friends, leading to jealousy and marital conflict before reconciliation. A second story depicts a woman named Miss who survives a plane crash alongside her husband Bob, fighting through flames and wreckage to rescue him, with both eventually rescued and reunited in a hospital. The final story, set at an army camp, centers on a soldier named Mike and a woman named Celia whose relationship is tested by her selfish ambitions, but ultimately they reconcile and pledge their love, ending at a railroad station where Mike declares she'll be "the wife you always wanted."

As she enforces independence, encourages outside socializing, and suppresses her own feelings, she discovers that real love might need something the textbooks don't teach. With her marriage unraveling faster than she can flip to the next chapter, Jane learns that being scientific about the heart isn't always the answer.

The Portrait of Love!
