“Good Looks Preferred”

In "Good Looks Preferred," college student Connie finds herself caught between two very different men—football star Barney, whose charm hides a jealous streak, and wealthy classmate Peter, who offers a more stable presence. When Connie discovers Barney with another girl, their relationship ends, but a surprising reunion reveals a changed man: Barney, now working and studying at night, still holds feelings for her. The story captures a quiet moment of growth and second chances, all set against the backdrop of campus life in 1952. Art by Billy Ely brings the emotional beats to life, while the cover by John Prentice captures the story’s bittersweet tension.
