After catching her boyfriend in a passionate embrace with another girl at a party, Alice decides to take a holiday to help her forget about him. On the way, the car she is driving is involved in an accident with a car driven by a man hurrying to meet his girlfriend. He helps fix her car and she drives on to the hotel, but later the hotel accidentally assigns the same room to him that they had already given to Alice.
