Cecile develops a crush on her math teacher. One day after class he notices her face and expressions remind him of a girl he had known years ago. When he meets Cecile's mother, he discovers she is indeed the same woman. He and Cecile's father had both left years ago due to jealousy. Cecile's father had died in Korea, but was rumored to have given important information to the enemy there, a fact Cecile's mother had kept from her.
