Isabelle leaves her family's farm to find some fast money in Paris, but when she arrives her bag is stolen and with it, everything she owns. A police officer takes sympathy on the girl's plight and eventually the story comes out about how she and her fiancee were both convinced that the other was responsible for some stolen cash that was needed for Isabelle's uncle to pay the mortgage.
