After winning a television song contest, Laura gets a job singing at a nightclub in Jamaica. However, on her first night there, the club goes up in flames while she is performing and she loses everything. With no money to go home, she is offered a job by a man she met on the plane from England to look after his Aunt Florence. However, Laura is soon suspicious of why she was actually hired.
