Romantic Adventure Library #257
"Bang Went My Heart" is a delightfully awkward romantic comedy from 1967, spotlighting Ripley, a shy chemist living in a lower maisonette, who’s utterly smitten with his aloof neighbor Ann. With every experiment that sends her boyfriends fleeing in panic, Ripley’s clumsy pursuit of love takes a series of explosive turns—though Ann remains blissfully unaware. Jordi Badesa i Giner handles both pencils and inks with a charmingly earnest touch, while Rafael Cortiella’s cover captures the comic’s wry, fizzing tension.

Ripley was a chemist who lived in the lower maisonette. He was convinced that his neighbor on the upper level would be his future wife, although Ann showed no interest in him. She enjoyed the company of her boyfriends, but the explosions from Ripley's experiments always sent them running away from her.
