Jane, a model for one of the most famous fashion designers in London, hears gossip that a film magnate will be in attendance looking for a star for his next movie. She convinces her friend Maggie to join her in wearing dresses they have not been assigned to get his attention, but end up getting fired. However, Jane did catch the eye of the film magnate's assistant and he gets Jane and Maggie small parts for a movie filming in Malaya.
