Eunice was a dedicated engineer with no time for life outside of work. Her younger sister Jane was the complete opposite. One night Jane agrees to work late and when she gets home, Eunice doesn't believe her story about working late. She demands to see the man who kept Jane out so late. The next day, Jane is almost hit by a car. The driver is apologetic and Jane introduces him to Eunice as the man who kept her out late. Meanwhile, the driver's friend is fascinated with Eunice. He eventually resorts tricking Eunice into joining him at a cottage where he proposes to her.
