An English girl gets a job in a New York gallery and soon falls in love with her boss. He has feelings for her too, but seems to have reservations despite kissing her in a moment of passion after she trips and falls. She is soon surprised to meet his fiancée, who has been out of town for a month. She abandons her job at the gallery and gets a new job working at a drive-in restaurant, but can't shake her feelings for her former boss.
