Steel Sterling purchases a pair of ornamental figurines called the Gruesome Twosome from a curio shop—despite a warning that anyone who asks for trouble will find it—and soon discovers the figurines are mysteriously alive and mischievous. When Sergeant Clancy McGinty jokingly declares he "eats trouble," the tiny troublemakers hop into his pocket and dog his every step, leading him directly into the path of Rat Face and his gang during a bank heist. Steel Sterling must track down his missing friend and stop the criminals before the Gruesome Twosome cause any more chaos.
