In "The Gruesome Twosome!", a botched password mix-up at Pappy's bootleg operation sends a gang of bank robbers on a sticky mission—and a group of revenuers on a very sticky trip—when their gas tanks get filled with booze and their drinks accidentally turn to gasoline. Written by Ed Goggin and illustrated by Harry Sahle, with inks by Terry Szenics and lettering by Terry Szenics, this 1984 10-cent classic features a wild, wacky misadventure grounded in pure comic chaos. The cover by John Giunta captures the absurdity perfectly.

ChimpyGenieA. Bigge Jinx

When Chimpy learns that A. Bigge Jinx has arrived to deliver seven weeks of hard luck straight from Pluto himself, the mischievous agent wastes no time making good on his assignment—with plenty of slapstick sabotage to prove it. With Genie's help (and a little research into Hades's personnel files), Chimpy devises a plan to send the troublemaking jinx packing before his sentence can really take hold. It's a rollicking tale of comeuppance and clever thinking, punctuated by pratfalls and the kind of laugh-out-loud chaos you'd expect when a hard-luck agent meets his match.

When Ginger Snapp gets into trouble at school and is banned from the countryside outing to help local farmers, she finds her own way to Middleton—where her Aunt Matilda happens to live. Meanwhile, Principal Grump and Dr. Piddle's day in the country takes a chaotic turn, complete with floating into trees, aggressive wasps, and a run-in with some very defensive livestock. By the time Ginger tracks down the bedraggled adults, Principal Grump might have to rethink who really causes all the trouble.
