The issue contains two stories. "Showdown at Burning Sands Canyon" follows Rocky Lane as he confronts criminals who have taken control of the natural fortress and must defeat them in a climactic battle. In "Border Dash," two thieves steal a quarter million dollars from a bank and hide it, forcing Rocky to pursue them across the badlands while they attempt to retrieve their loot before he can stop them.
