Rocky Lane, undercover marshal, finds himself caught between the impossible: a ruthless sea-raider named Sharkskin and his crew of pirates who've abandoned their ships for the Texas desert, riding camels and terrorizing towns with cannon-mounted rigs. When a daring bank robbery and assault on Desert Junction prove these "desert buccaneers" are very real, Rocky and his faithful stallion Black Jack must track down Sharkskin's hidden stronghold before the pirate captain's next raid strikes.
Gopherface complains to Gus about a painful bunion that's been plaguing him for two months, and reluctantly agrees to let his friend take a look. When Gus finally manages to remove Gopherface's boot for inspection, the diagnosis proves far more embarrassing than either of them expected.
A hapless fellow named Cactusbrain gets a little too literal when he decides the best way to get "cold pop" is to lock his own pop in the icebox—with predictably chaotic results in this one-page western gag.
Dee Dickens lands in the hospital with a peculiar case of self-inflicted insomnia, and a visit from a friend determined to cheer him up with dubious medical advice and newfound phrenology skills. This 1951 western comedy turns the ward into a battleground of wisecracking one-liners and physical gags as the two trade insults and increasingly ridiculous schemes to cure what ails him.
