Rocky Lane and his stallion Black Jack pursue a coyote rustler, but become trapped in a mining cabin that collapses on them. After escaping with a prospector named Lucky, Rocky and Lucky must protect a wagon loaded with mining equipment from the criminals who stole it, leading to a dangerous chase where the wagon crashes and the thieves are apprehended. The issue also includes a comedic side story involving a hotel manager and guests dealing with a man named Korne who evades paying his bill through various schemes and compromises.
