The fifth chapter of "The Blue River Score" wraps up with a cover by Mike Mayhew that oozes stylish intrigue — a glamorous feline woman in an elegant emerald gown holds a pistol while posing beside a large ornate mirror, and a heavyset anthropomorphic creature in a lavender suit crouches in the foreground with a distinctly menacing calm. Reflected in that gilded mirror, Rocket himself is caught mid-action in a chaotic scene, neatly suggesting a heist gone loud just beyond the frame. Al Ewing and Adam Gorham's 2017 series continues to blend cosmic Marvel adventure with a slick genre-caper sensibility that's genuinely hard to resist.
