Robo Dojo launches its six-issue WildStorm run with this April 2002 opener from writer Marv Wolfman and artist Greg Lane, and Michael Golden's cover sets the tone beautifully — a massive green mech and a crimson robot loom over a poised young woman with purple hair, while what appear to be mechanical insects burst through a fiery orange sky above them. It's a vivid, anime-inflected splash that balances human-scale drama against towering mechanized power, and the bonus Nanobotz feature tucked into the corner (with credits for Libby, Torres, Brizuela, and Russell) makes this first issue feel like an especially generous introduction to WildStorm's early-2000s sci-fi ambitions.
