“The Trapping of Robin Hood”

In "The Trapping of Robin Hood," the outlaw hero risks everything by sneaking into the Sheriff's stronghold to save a friend, outwitting guards with swift cunning. While Robin draws the Sheriff's attention, the Merry Men seize the moment to steal a grand feast from the enemy's table and deliver it to the hungry villagers. Written by Joe Millard and illustrated with sharp, dynamic detail by Ogden Whitney—both on pencils and inks—this 1956 tale captures the daring spirit of the legend in a 10-cent comic. The cover, also by Whitney, shows Robin in a tense moment of evasion, setting the stage for a classic adventure.
