This 2004 Carlsen Comics reimagining of Robin Hood takes the legend somewhere unexpected — the cover by John-Simon Loche drops a green-cloaked Robin Hood alongside a young blonde companion riding atop a massive, tiger-striped dragon-like creature, sword drawn amid a press of spear-wielding enemies. Frédéric Brémaud's series opener, subtitled "Merriadek," promises a fantasy adventure that trades Sherwood Forest for something altogether more mythical.
