Teena tries to talk her mother into going to the movies so she can be alone with her friends. Her mother tells Teena that she will just say "howdy-do" and then be on about her way. As she pops in and says hi she notices the girls are swooning over a Hollywood heartthrob, Dickie Bopheart. Mother thinks the star's a bit too old for the girls and tells them but they disagree. But she also admits that the actor is an old schoolmate of hers, much to their astonishment, and the girls respond by treating her like royalty.
