Volume 29 of Rumiko Takahashi's Rin-ne brings together the series' central duo — red-haired Rinne in his shinigami haori and dark-haired Sakura — in a cover that balances their contrasting personalities beautifully against a soft pink backdrop. A small cat figure and a tiny spirit creature peek in at the edges, hinting at the supernatural mischief this Shonen Sunday series does so well. If you've been following Takahashi's blend of afterlife comedy and budding romance, this 2019 volume is a satisfying addition to the shelf.
