The third volume of Le Lombard's revived Rik Ringers series arrives in 2018 with a sleek, tension-charged cover by Simon Van Liemt — a close profile of the square-jawed hero fills the frame, his expression cool and unreadable against a stark blue background. What makes the image quietly unsettling is his shirt, patterned with an array of miniature skulls, daggers, guns, and pills — a darkly playful visual hint at the "De perfecte moord" ("The Perfect Murder") story within. Zidrou and Van Liemt clearly have a sharp eye for atmosphere, and this installment looks like a compelling entry in the series.
