Rick and Morty Finals Week: Contested Convention #1

Rick barges in on Mr. President demanding that he help Morty with his school project on government studies. Rick and our chief executive have a long history of antagonistic interactions and Rick's portal-facilitated incursion into the president's party-nomination-acceptance speech prep adds additional fuel to their ongoing hostilities. When the commander-in-chief refuses to assist Morty, Rick runs the dumbest alternate version of himself, Doofus Rick, to complete for and win the (unnamed) party's nomination. An infuriated Beth also makes a run, resulting in the titular "Contested Convention".
