Rick and Morty Deluxe Double Feature HC #5
"Rick and Morty Heart of Rickness Book One" delivers a stylish, noir-infused twist in this deluxe hardcover, with Fred C. Stresing writing, drawing, inking, and shaping the story alongside Meg Casey’s bold colors and Crank!’s sharp lettering. When Jerry and Detective Meeseeks crash into Rick’s spaceship, a rain-soaked chase unfolds across a surreal, high-stakes mystery, blending classic detective tropes with the series’ signature absurdity. The final pages reveal the identity of the enigmatic Mr. S., setting the stage for a deeper unraveling in the story’s second volume.

Jerry and Detective Meeseeks crash Rick's spaceship. Jerry is taken by the two muscled goons, while Detective Meeseeks (like any good film noir detective) is knocked-out and left battered in a rainy alley to regain his senses. Rick joins Morty and Summer in their search for Jerry. Detective Meeseeks also searches for the senior Mr. Smith, leading to a two-page spread of a bar fight colored in black, white, bright red, and muted green tones. Detective Meeseeks deduces the identity of the mysterious Mr. S., the caper's mastermind, whose identity the readers also learn over the final three pages.
