We learn the origin of Master Meeseeks, see a traitor revealed in Rick's ranks, and everyone has a huge "crossover event style" battle, highlighted by Rick encasing each member of his family in separate cylinders of strong metal and unbreakable glass and assembling them into a giant robot. In other words, comic books from the mid-1980s-on in microcosm... or, given all the "bigness" of things, would that be "macrocosm"?
