Richie Rich Vault of Mystery #4

Harvey Comics takes Richie Rich somewhere genuinely strange in this 1975 issue, as the cover promises Richie and his butler Cadbury shrunk down and stranded in "The World of the Germs!" — and the image delivers on that premise spectacularly, with the wide-eyed duo scrambling across a swirling, murky surface while enormous monstrous germ-creatures loom over them, their jagged maws filling the right side of the cover. Scattered gems and colorful microbe-like blobs drift through the chaotic scene, giving the whole thing a psychedelic, unsettling energy that's quite a departure from Richie's usual jet-set adventures. A fun, offbeat entry in the Vault of Mystery series for fans of Harvey's more imaginative side.
