Mr. Gleam is getting out of control after the pool incident, and gets aggressive in his polishing, even to the extent to polishing Mr. Rich's car to a shrunken size, and polishing a statue to a shrunken size. After dirt ends up on the robot, Mr. Rich orders the robot to clean himself, which he does. But his aggressive cleaning is causing friction and shrinking himself down so much, he eventually becomes nonexistent, and Richie and his father realize that Irona is a better fit for the family.
