Richie Rich #131

Only Richie Rich could turn a ski lift into a luxury suite — this 1975 Harvey Comics issue finds the Poor Little Rich Boy riding a chairlift outfitted with a full spread of gadgets: a steaming mug, a burger, a bowl of shrimp, a built-in radio, and even a tiny personal TV, all mounted on a gleaming gold contraption fitted with skis. Meanwhile, a bewildered red-haired girl on the adjacent chair can only respond with a puzzled question mark as Richie glides along in complete comfort. With the familiar faces of Cadbury, Mr. Rich, Gloria, and Reginald lined up on the side panel, issue #131 is a cheerful snapshot of everything that makes this series so endearing.
