Richard Dragon, Kung-Fu Fighter #6

Against the fiery backdrop of an erupting volcano, Richard Dragon launches a flying kick at two sword-wielding opponents — one robed in blue, one in green military garb — while a red-clad figure reels from the impact in a beautifully composed cover by Dick Giordano. The tagline "Certain Death! If the Evil Slash Doesn't Kill Them, the Volcano Will!" sets the stakes for "Island of the Inferno!", a 1976 DC adventure written by Denny O'Neil with interior art by Ric Estrada and Wally Wood. Martial arts action doesn't get much more cinematic than this quarter-book.
