Revival #2

The cover of this French Delcourt edition says it all — a bloodied, outstretched hand lying in snow-covered ground, the stark red seeping into white in a way that is quietly haunting rather than gratuitously gory. Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's Revival brings rural dread and supernatural unease to the Franco-Belgian market with this second volume, subtitled Quarantaine. It's a beautifully unsettling image that captures the series' tone perfectly: something terrible has happened here, and the frozen Wisconsin landscape isn't giving up its secrets easily.
