Regression #2

The cover of Regression #2 sets a genuinely unsettling tone, presenting an ornate baroque gateway — adorned with classical nude figures, a winged angel perched at the crown, and ominous scarab beetles massed at the base — with a dark, receding tunnel at its center that seems to lead somewhere you might not want to go. Danny Luckert's intricate linework gives the whole image a dreamlike quality, as if ancient architecture and creeping dread have been fused into something beautifully wrong. Cullen Bunn's 2017 Image series continues here, promising more of the psychological and supernatural unease that makes Regression such a compelling read.
