Reggie and Me #59
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis Giant Series installment from 1972 puts Riverdale's most self-satisfied schemer front and center, as the cover's beach-set gag shows Reggie on the receiving end of some well-deserved comeuppance — a decorative Band-Aid offered with gleeful suggestions from the girls, while the lower panel reveals him thoroughly taped up and laughed at by the whole gang, including Archie, Betty, Veronica, and a very amused redhead. It's classic Archie humor at its broadest, with sunny seaside colors and the kind of panel-by-panel escalation that made these Giant Series issues such satisfying reads. At a quarter a copy in 1972, Reggie and Me #59 delivers exactly the cheerful, consequence-for-the-conceited fun the series promises.
