Red Sonja #6

Red Sonja stands front and center on this Cover A, sword drawn and battle-ready in her signature scale armor, flanked by a gun-toting young man and a bespectacled woman clutching a tablet — an unlikely trio facing down the looming, roaring giant figure that dominates the golden background behind them. Mike McKone's cover composition does a wonderful job of blending Sonja's Hyborian ferocity with a distinctly modern setting, hinting at the collision of worlds that writer Amy Chu and artist Carlos Gómez are cooking up inside. A great-looking issue from Dynamite's 2017 run that pairs ancient warrior grit with contemporary intrigue.
