When a hurricane drives the Bugsey Bear family to seek shelter on their houseboat near Santos Frijoles, they think their troubles are over—until the fearsome Captain Goatbeard and his pirate crew from Barbadoes board their vessel with plans to plunder it. The family hatches a desperate scheme to outwit the swashbuckling raiders and reclaim their boat, relying on quick thinking and a few surprising tricks to turn the tables on the buccaneers.

Pete's peaceful milk-drinking routine gets interrupted when Tweet, a feathered nuisance, can't resist stealing sips—leading Pete to devise an elaborate trap involving a mysterious potion.
