Real Screen Comics #81

The Fox and the Crow are up to their usual scheming in this December 1954 DC funnybook, and the cover tells the whole story at a glance — the Crow is busy painting ordinary pebbles with a can of "Gold Paint" while a very excited Fox waves his hat and hoists a pickaxe in the desert sun, apparently convinced they've struck it rich. It's a perfectly silly setup that captures the duo's con-artist chemistry, set against a sun-baked landscape that makes the gag land all the more delightfully.
