Foxie's birthday is off to a suspicious start in this February 1959 DC charmer — a wide-eyed fox steps out his front door to find a large gift-wrapped present bearing a "Happy Birthday Foxie" card, while a scheming crow in a purple hat lurks nearby with what looks like a prank already in motion. Peering from the rooftop window above are a girl in a sombrero and a rabbit, clearly in on the fun, making this a wonderfully mischievous snapshot of the lighthearted animal antics that made Real Screen Comics such a delight throughout its run.
