Real Adventure Comics #5

Real Life Comics #5 is an anthology featuring historical and military adventures. One story depicts the Spanish-American War, following Captain Elliott and Sergeant John Quick of the Marines as they fight at Cuzco Well in Guantanamo Bay and later aid Filipino forces in the Philippine Islands during the Insurrection. Another story chronicles Alexander the Great's military campaigns, including his use of deception to breach the Cilician Gates and his encounters with Persian forces under Darius. The issue also includes "The Hero of Santiago," the story of Lt. Richmond P. Hobson and his efforts to bottle up the Spanish fleet in Santiago Harbor, culminating in his call for six volunteers to install torpedoes in a ship to be sunk as a blockade.
