The fifth adventure of Ratafia whisks readers to a snow-dusted Japanese setting, where the cover shows our scrappy young heroine bundled up and scrambling across a wooden bridge, gear and provisions spilling about her amid a gentle flurry of falling snow. Traditional buildings with heavy white rooftops stretch across the wintry background, giving the whole scene a wonderfully atmospheric, Far East flavour. Pothier and Salsedo bring their signature charm to this 2008 Milan Presse volume, subtitled Le nénuphar instantané — promising another lively chapter in Ratafia's globe-trotting escapades.
