Richard Corben's vision of cosmic dread reaches a fever pitch in this third chapter of the five-part series from Dark Horse. The cover — rendered entirely by Corben himself — depicts two massive, fur-covered rat creatures in a shadowy stone chamber, their blood-slicked jaws agape and red eyes gleaming, crouched over a scattered pile of bones and a limp human form while a rusted chain hangs ominously from the wall behind them. It's a beautifully grotesque piece of work that makes the title feel entirely earned.
