Rat God #1

From 2015 Eisner Hall of Fame inductee Richard Corben comes the opening chapter of a five-part Dark Horse horror series, and this cover wastes no time announcing its intentions. Peering around a weathered wooden door is a grotesque, large-headed creature — all bulging eyes, matted fur, yellowed horns, and jagged teeth glistening with drool — rendered in Corben's signature hyper-sculptural style with striking depth and texture. If issue one of Rat God is half as unsettling as what's staring back at you from the cover, you're in for something genuinely memorable.
