This third volume in the Rantanplan series collects the adventures of the dim-witted prison dog from the Lucky Luke universe. Originally serialized in the 1990s, the stories here focus on Rantanplan's bumbling attempts to guard a hostage, leading to chaotic and humorous situations typical of the character's solo outings. The volume is part of Egmont Ehapa's German-language collection of the series, which ran from 1994 onward.
