The penultimate chapter of this eight-part cosmic saga puts the heroes squarely on the back foot, as the cover — penciled and inked by writer Jim Starlin himself — depicts a fierce, multi-armed Lady Styx lunging with fanged fury at a flame-haired heroine in purple, her grasping green tendrils filling the frame while a red-clad figure crumples in the background. That tagline, "In the Clutches of Lady Styx!", says it all: this villain commands the scene with an unsettling, almost otherworldly menace set against a stunning starfield portal.
