Sosuke Toka's charming fantasy manga continues with this third volume from Ki-oon, and the cover sets the tone perfectly — two determined young royals, one crowned in gold and dressed in purple robes, the other gripping a staff in a blue outfit, scramble forward with fierce expressions while a small shadowy creature watches from the foreground, a forbidding dark castle looming behind them. There's something wonderfully expressive about Toka's deceptively simple art style, capturing both urgency and heart in the same breath. Fans of the series will find this 2022 edition a worthy addition to their shelf.
